Research
Most of Dr. Diaz' research during fellowship centered around clinical applications of CSF biomarkers in metastatic brain tumors, including circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), particularly exploring the potential prognostic role of these tests in patients with leptomeningeal and/or parenchymal brain metastases from a variety of solid tumors. Dr. Diaz has also done clinical research in molecular risk factors for venous thromboembolism (VTE) in gliomas.
