Our multidisciplinary team is trained to address the physical, cognitive and emotional needs of patients and their families. Our team is responsive to patient needs and works with patients and their families to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.

- Physical Therapy
- Movement Disorders Clinic works closely with NYP Columbia’s Physical Therapy team to ensure continuity of care. We also collaborate with Columbia University Teacher’s College Neurorehabilitation lab. Dr. Lori Quinn and her team at the Neurorehab lab conducts research on assessments and interventions for individuals with neurological diseases and disorders, including Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, and stroke.
- Occupational Therapy
- Movement Disorders Clinic works closely with NYP Columbia’s Occupational Therapy team to ensure continuity of care. Through assessment, treatment, and intervention, the occupational therapy team enable movement disorders patients to reach their goals and support their level of independence with consideration of individual strength, environment, and activities that are important to the patient.
- Speech and Language Pathology
- Movement Disorders Clinic works closely with NYP Columbia’s Speech Language Pathology team to ensure continuity of care. We also collaborate with Columbia University Teacher’s College Laboratory for the Study of Upper Airway Dysfunction (UAD lab). Dr. Michelle Troche and her team at the UAD lab are committed to improving clinical outcomes and quality of life in patients with dysphagia and dystussia through research, clinical care, and education.

- Linda Winfield, RN is the Movement Disorders Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) programming nurse who ensures that the patients’ stimulators are optimally adjusted. She works closely with our DBS specialist, Dr. Kimberly Kwei.
