Overview
Dr. Michelassi is a Physician-Scientist specializing in neuromuscular disease. He received his BA from Columbia University and his MD-PhD from Weill Cornell Medical College. At the Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), he performed his neurology residency training and a post-doctoral fellowship in neuromuscular research. His research focuses on how peripheral neuropathy forms and why different types of peripheral neurons are resistant to certain types of damage.
