Miller Lab
Location and Contact Information
Principal Investigator
The Miller lab's research focuses on cerebrovascular complications associated with pregnancy and the postpartum period, and women's cerebrovascular health throughout their lifespan.
Research Overview
Stroke is a leading cause of severe maternal morbidity and mortality. The mechanisms through which pregnancy complications, such as preeclampsia, contribute to postpartum stroke are poorly understood. The Miller Lab's clinical research focuses on stroke during pregnancy and the short-term and long-term cerebrovascular complications associated with preeclampsia and other adverse pregnancy outcomes. Working in collaboration with the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, this multidisciplinary lab conducts groundbreaking clinical research investigating the epidemiology and pathophysiology of cerebrovascular disease related to pregnancy. Currently, the Miller Lab’s projects are actively enrolling participants from across the country.
