Overview
Nicole Ross is the Rhodes Center for Glioblastoma social worker. After graduating summa cum laude from Sierra Nevada College, she joined the Peace Corps. Nicole served in northwest China until 2020, when she was evacuated early due to the pandemic. Upon return to the US, she continued national service in AmeriCorps. She received her graduate degree in 2022 from Columbia University in Advanced Clinical Social Work Practice with a concentration in health, mental health, and disabilities.
Nicole is interested in clinical social work with adults and families afflicted by cancer. She completed her advanced-year internship in Radiation Oncology and Breast Surgery at Mount Sinai West in Manhattan before transitioning to her full-time role at Columbia. Here, in the Division of Neuro-Oncology, Nicole provides care coordination as well as supportive individual and group therapy to patients with brain and spinal tumors.
