NYP-Columbia NF Center Hosts its 1st Annual NF Patient Symposium

Gurcharanjeet "Bonnie" Kaur, MD, Director of Columbia’s Neurofibromatosis Program, and a multidisciplinary team from Columbia Neurology, Neurosurgery, OBGYN hosted their first Annual NF Patient Symposium at Columbia Medical Center’s Vagelos Education Center on November 6, 2024. Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a genetic disorder that increases a patient’s risk of developing a variety of cancers, including brain and spinal cord tumors. The symposium, led by faculty and experts in the field, was a huge success and provided information about treatment options, genetics, the latest research, advanced care, and support services available for patients and families with NF.
