Soojin Park, MD, FAHA, FNCS, Associate Professor of Neurology and Medical Director of Critical Care Data Science and AI at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia, talks with NewYork-Presbyterian's Advances in Care podcast program about merging her passion for computer science and medicine to create a unique program in predictive analytics from the reams of data generated in the neurocritical care setting. Through her novel Program for Hospital and Intensive Care Informatics (PHICI), Dr. Park and her multidisciplinary team built a Continuous Monitoring Tool for Delayed Cerebral Ischemia (COSMIC) that mines and processes patient data to help more accurately predict and detect the risk of stroke in critically ill patients. [listen to the podcast]
